Patched Works 100 Blocks of Summer–Block 9

9 - Susie - Kaffe & Shot Cottons
Block of the day: #9

Section: Crosses

Featured Quilter:  Susie

Susie Says:  This is a simple block. It's all about the fabric!
Perhaps you could try cutting those 1" strips at 1-1/4", construct the block and then trim it down if you have issues with piecing narrow strips of fabric accurately.

Additional bocks made by: Mary, Lisa & Jen

9 - Mary - Paisley Pop  LISA_09
9 - Jen - Bright Batiks  9 Mod Milwaukee City Sampler

Jen says:  The batik block that I made didn’t have too much contrast but, I had a lot of fun making my second block #9.  I finally found the perfect way to use my Milwaukee fabric that I purchased last summer from local designer Allison Beilke

We encourage you to take pictures of your blocks and upload them to our Tula Pink 100 Blocks of Summer Flickr Group. If technology isn’t your thing, bring your blocks into the shop and we’ll snap a picture of them and upload them on your behalf.
You can also keep up with our progress in many places: here on our Patched Works Fabric Jules Blog, by visiting our website or by  Following us on Facebook!
It’s never too late to join the fun.  Stop in the shop to find out more about how to get started.
It’s always a party at Patched Works!
