Mary says:  This block scared me!  All those tiny 1 1/2" squares.  I originally skipped this block and wasn't going to attempt it at all but I was scolded by my daughter and told that not doing it was unacceptable (who's the parent here??) .  She actually helped me come up with this design.  I cut (2)  2 1/2" squares of the solid and (2)  2 1/2' squares of the print to replace each section in the center that had been made up of a 1 1/2" by 2 1/2" piece and two 1 1/2' squares.  The finished block isn't as detailed as the original, but it is it's own unique block that is not anywhere else in the book so I think Tula would approve!
