Featured Quilter: Rhonda
Rhonda says: For this block the Kona Solids I used were Melon 50, Coral 49 & Poppy 31.
Additional Blocks made by: Mary, Lisa, Upstairs Diane, Jen & Susie
Jen says: Your cutting order on this block is not the order in which you are piecing. I chose my colors thinking “Half Log Cabin” and proceeded to cut in the order the book had laid out – which was not the actual order of piecing! These are narrow strips you are adding, take extra care in not fishtailing at the end of your seams.
Downstairs Diane says: Using an Awl will help feed these teeny pieces and keep them on the straight and narrow.
We encourage you to take pictures of your blocks and upload them to our Tula Pink 100 Blocks of Summer Flickr Group. If technology isn’t your thing, bring your blocks into the shop and we’ll snap a picture of them and upload them on your behalf.
You can also keep up with our progress in many places: here on our Patched Works Fabric Jules Blog, by visiting our website or by Following us on Facebook!
