Diane says: According to the directions for making Quick Pieced Half-Square Triangles and Quick-Pieced Flying Geese, she recommends you sew a scant ¼” on both sides of the line. If you have a machine with adjustable needle positions, it is 1 position to the left or right of your ¼” position. If you are sewing on the right side of the line, you adjust 1 position to the left. If you’re sewing on the left side of the line you adjust 1 position to the right.
