Kansas Star is pieced per the directions on page 51 OR Paper Pieced using the Supplemental Packet offered at Patched Works.
Leslie – Midwinter Reds by MODA
Leslie says: I had fun fussy cutting the squares from two fabrics with the same print. The 9 squares are easily paper pieced. Use pins to line up the points when joining squares and rows. Press seams open that they lay flat where the points meet.
Stephanie – Downton Abbey
Stephanie says: My fabric reminds me of my grandmother’s plates, here’s a pic!
Tip for this block, use some fabric glue (our favorite is the Sewline Glue Stick) to hold the square in place while you’re piecing. Make’s it easier so everything stays lined up!
